Sperry Is Being Awarded a Growing Number of Public Sector Projects

A long time favorite of private commercial developers and business owners, Sperry is gaining the attention of a growing number of government agencies.
Over the past two years we have definitely seen an increase in the number of public sector projects that we are asked to participate in.
In fact, within the past 12 month Sperry has provided construction services for the City of Tallahassee, Leon County, the Leon County School Board and a number of other public agencies.
Sperry is currently involved in a number of projects at the Tallahassee Regional Airport as a follow-up to major renovations to the both the airside and terminal side food service facilities a few year back.
The City of Tallahassee has also retained Sperry to renovate the driver's lounge Star Metro's CK Steel Bus Transfer Facility on West Tennessee Street. This is the second project for Star Metro that Sperry has undertaken in recent months.
Work is just now getting underway on a major expansion to the Leon County Hazardous Waste Facility in the County Solid Waster Facility on Apalachee Parkway. The project will greatly expand the county’s ability to process hazardous waste products.
Sperry was also chosen by the Leon County School Board as one of a select group of qualified vendors for projects valued at $2,000,000 or less.
"We are confident that as we continue to add to our public sector portfolio we will continue to earn the confidence of public sector managers and find the same level of success that we have enjoyed in private sector work," says Sperry Executive Vice President Bart Wells.
Pursuing public sector construction contracts is very different from seeking private sector work, but Sperry finds that as they compete more frequently, they are being shortlisted more and more and winning a greater number of contracts. |
