A 40,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered building was constructed as the Leon County Solid Waste Facility on Apalachee Parkway to support hazardous waste disposal efforts. The building features metal roof and wall panels, large overhead doors to receive waste and a large canopy in front to cover overhead doors. Several CMU walled rooms were constructed inside to house hazardous materials. Operations at the facility continued uninterrupted while construction was underway.
